Stretching from the Appalachian Mountains to the Mississippi River, Tennessee became the 16th state of the union in 1796. Percy Warner Gates
The Tradesmen Group, Inc. was selected by City of Nashville and Friends of Warner Park, Inc. to perform masonry restoration of the historic Percy Warner Stone Gates that serve as the primary entrance for Percy Warner Park in Nashville TN. Work included 100% tuckpointing of sandstone and limestone masonry, replacement severely deteriorated limestone units, Dutchman repairs, masonry cleaning and installation of sealant to all capstones.
The Metropolitan Historical Commission Preservation Award for Monuments & Memorials was awarded to this project.
Smyrna Medical Center and Readiness Facility
The Tradesmen Group, Inc. was selected by the Tennessee Army National Guard to reroof existing Medical Center and perform various building renovations. Work included replacing double lock standing seam metal roof in kind, replacing existing EPDM roofing with modified bitumen roofing, exterior brick and precast concrete window lintel replacement, installation of through wall flashings, tuckpointing, masonry cleaning, caulking of expansion joints, replacement of windows and limited interior finish work including painting and ceiling tile replacement.
Rock Castle State Historic Site
The Tradesmen Group, Inc. was selected by the Tennessee Department of General Services to install a new roof on Rock Castle’s main house and perform various building repairs and restorations. Work included removing and replacing existing wood shake roof with new hand-rived white oak wood shake, repairing and replacing damaged railings, columns and wood shutters, cleaning, repairing and repainting exterior wood elements including all wood windows. Windows were re-glazed during repair process.
Chattanooga Readiness Center - Chattanooga TN
TTG was selected to replace the existing EPDM single ply membrane roof systems on four buildings of the Readiness Center. Work included deck repairs, new insulation, new metal copings and fully adhered EPDM roof systems. Two buildings had large porches that received new asphalt shingle roofs. A metal wall panel system was installed on one building. Work items also included masonry restoration of two buildings to include substantial stone replacement, 100% tuckpointing and masonry cleaning. Additional work items included interior and exterior painting and limited interior renovations to correct prior damage.
